Modern day looks like the "soul patch" the half "goatie" are acceptable on those trendy enough to succesfully sport it, but the moustache (sadly) is just no longer en vogue...that is EXCEPT for during the month of November, or as it is now more commonly known "Movember." This is thee month for all who like the moustache, men and women alike...And no, I don't mean women growing them you jokers, rather us women find them strangely attractive during this particular time, and this time only! Hence...

What is MOVEMBER? It is a portmaneau of the slang word "mo" for moustache and "November." It is an annual, month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of both prostate cancer and mental health issues. The Movember Foundation runs the Movember charity event, housed at www.movember.com. The goal of Movember is to "change the face of men's health."

In support of men and this wonderful charity we decided to be a "Mo Sista" and start our own team, duly called Stash4Cash (I know eh? Ingenious!). We tried diligently to find willing participants, which proved more difficult than initially anticipated, and presently have 4 committed team members who will be growing a moustache for the month in return for kind donations. Sexy huh?? We think so!

On that note, we know, having read all this, you are eager to participate, ergo our team site for you to check out, donate or join us is as follows: http://mosista.co/esquaredhomes.

Any donation, no matter how small (because we all know size doesn't matter!!), is thoroughly appreciated. Help us be the number one Mo Sista Team in Canada...or at least the Oakville and Burlington area. Also, if you are a guy who wants to grow a moustache and have the overwhelming desire to join a great team with the coolest Team Captain EVER...contact us or click the "Join Team" button through our link, however you must send us a picture of your freshly shaven face to start with so we can add you to our team gallery!!

Thank you in advance to anyone who helps us!

The E-Squared Mo Sista's

Contact us any time at info@esquaredhomes.com or 905-338-6550. Spend time with positive people to be more positive; joyful people to be more joyful. If you strive to be spiritually strong, supportive, empowering, intelligent, energetic, and positive, seek those characteristics in others.

Help your friends develop more positive traits by living those positive traits yourself. Know what kind of friends will help you nurture your soul, and set out to find some.

2. Help your friends cultivate gratitude.

Before you say anything about a friend's situation, remember that everyone's situation is unique. I've seen it happen to myself and to my friends. They'll be perfectly happy until someone tells them they're being mistreated. Suddenly, they're upset.

Don't let your friends wield such power, and work to avoid wielding such power yourself.

Day by day, hour by hour, make a goal to avoid complaining about your life. Make a pact with your friends to cut the complaints from your conversations.

3. Give the gift of gratitude to your children.

Help your children to be satisfied and grateful for simple, everyday things by giving thanks aloud. Keep a Gratitude Journal in which, each day, you record five or ten things for which you are grateful, and ask your children for contributions. Give your children a journal of their own or keep a family Gratitude Journal.

4. Say "Thank You."

Whom in your life do you appreciate? Let them know, whether it's your mom, your kids, your friends, your husband, your child's daycare provider or the helpful woman behind the cosmetics counter.

Write thank you notes regularly - not just after a gift exchange - and be mindful of all the ways you show your appreciation by the things you do in return.

Tell your kids how thankful you are for them. Jot a note to each of your children in which you tell them how much you love them, why you're thankful for them, and all the ways they have enriched your life. This can be something you give them now or after they have grown.

5. Be mindful of the little things.

Today, strive to be aware of all the aspects of your personal, professional, and family life for which you are thankful.

Take a few minutes today to appreciate nature. Go for a walk and notice only those things that are beautiful. Whether you focus on the stars above, a distant mountain range, or the cottonwood tree in your backyard, try to notice the details. Give thanks for the beauty that surrounds us.

Regardless of whether you record these items, spend some time each day to focus on the little things in your life that make each day special. Perhaps it's your child's toothless grin. A warm home. Delicious food enjoyed with family.

Together, let's work on focusing on what we have--not on what we don't have-- and all the ways we can help one another have more gratitude for the gift of life.

RAHB Annual Charity Golf Tournament, Thursday June 14th!

I have no idea what I was thinking when I decided to prompt some people and sign up two teams from my office for this event . It's ok, I'm a trooper and - even though I'll likely make a fool of myself - will be playing with several other agents from my office at the Realtors Association of Hamilton Burlington's Annual Charity Golf Tournament this coming Thursday at Copetown Woods Golf Club.

It seemed like fun two months ago, now I realize how absolutely awful I'm going to be playing amongst other seasoned players (only I'm hoping that other non-players out there had the same whacky idea as I did!). The upside is that it is best ball and I will have on my team James Dier from my office who is a golf pro at Tyandaga Golf Club and who has attempted on many occasions to teach me some <strike>moves</strike> er skills!

Seriously though, it's for charity and I don't mind one bit. The proceeds will go to HOAP - Home Ownership Affordability Partnership and Karan Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund. Also a bit of <strike>recruiting</strike> oops networking with my fellow realtors in town wont go amiss!

Wish me luck!
