Time to dust off the clubs!!
The weather on this fine Friday is phenomenal, 21 degrees celcius, not a cloud in the sky. It makes everyone happy, in particular the golfers! Now I'm not a "golfer" per se, but certainly a "wannabe". I won't be dusting off my clubs, rather I've decided to invest in a nice new graphite set (those old heavy ones are affecting my swing/drive - yeah right!). And I can't wait to get out there....next week, should the weather and busy schedule permit.
Fortunately for me, one of the agents at my office, nameley, Mr. James Dier (a.k.a. Tyandaga King) is a golf pro. He gave me some fine lessons last year and improved my swing dramatically. Yes I'm still awful but I know what I need to do to improve. Apparently - according to James - I'm a very good putter. Amazing what you find out about yourself on the golf course. I also found out when golfing with him that I CANNOT match him beer for beer (there's a 1 ft. in height and 140lbs in weight differential!
).
Happy golfing everyone! Wish me luck for the RAHB Annual Charity Golf tournament coming up in June (fortunately for me I'm on James's team!).
